A 360° immersive experience in the Rio Tapajós region in the Amazon.
"Amazônia Viva" is a 10-minute virtual reality film that transports viewers to the Tapajós River region of the Brazilian Amazon. The 360° immersive experience unveils one of the most important ecosystems on the planet, thus, bringing the Amazon closer to the people. Raquel Tupinambá, a cacique indigenous leader from the Surucuá community, welcomes the viewer into her homeland and guides them through a fully interactive virtual journey. Along the way, the majesty of the world’s largest rainforest is revealed, as are the imminent threats it faces. "Amazônia Viva" was commissioned by the Interfaith Rainforest Initiative (IRI Brazil), com roteiro e direção do cineasta Estevão Ciavatta, da Pindorama Filmes, e financiamento do Instituto Clima e Sociedade – iCS e da Conservação Internacional Brasil – CI Brasil.

O filme “Amazônia Viva”, projeto da Iniciativa Inter-religiosa pelas Florestas Tropicais (IRI Brasil), esteve presente simbolicamente no Marché du Film do Festival de Cannes 2024.

"Amazônia Viva" was commissioned by the Interfaith Rainforest Initiative (IRI Brazil), scripted and directed by award-winning filmmaker Estevão Ciavatta, from Pindorama Filmes, and funded by the Climate and Society Institute (iCS), and Conservation InternationalThe film is one of the main tools for raising awareness, training, and engaging religious leaders and communities, as well as the general public, about preserving the Amazon and defending the rights of indigenous peoples. The film is available free of charge to anyone interested in promoting awareness of forest protection.

O filme tem roteiro e direção do premiado cineasta brasileiro Estevão Ciavatta, da Pindorama Filmes, sendo “Amazônia Viva” a estreia do cineasta na direção com base em tecnologias de realidade virtual. Já o Studio KwO XR, especializado na criação, produção e distribuição de vídeos 360° e 3D, foi o responsável por trazer toda a linguagem virtual e imprimir ao filme qualidade tecnológica compatível com o roteiro.
